We are looking for a new colleague in the Finance Department at our location in Livonia, Michigan.
Your Responsibilities :
Manage and review month end variance analysis process for 38 reporting units globally. This includes 17 plants, including 2 maquiladoras and 8 SGA entities and 3 Joint Ventures with a combined annual sales of 2.9bnE. Initiate and follow up on improvement measures.
Responsible for accuracy of variance analysis to provide information on Actuals vs OP, Prior Year and various forecast scenarios.
Manage and review midmonth forecasting process for global Foundation Brakes – approximately 3bn Euro sales pa. Responsible for data quality and timing.
Lead the budget and LRP preparation process for the BU, review reporting units trial balance, analyze variance walks vs prior year.
Budget cash flow for the global BU – calculate AR/AP ME/YE balances for the BU, review and analyze all of balance sheet and review with VP of Finance for release to Division A.
Manage business unit and division ledgers – centrally manage customer pricing, warranty, bonus calculation, customer tooling, capital asset spending and cash and banking. Track and prepare overlays and adjust monthly. Division/Livonia campus Greenbelt reviewing and approving cost savings.
Central analysis of FX, depreciation, salary costs and other global costs to ensure forecasts are complete and accurate. Review with VP and propose amendments.
Systems lead for FB product line. Lead implementation and roll out of finance system within Product Line and also on behalf of Division A. Liaise with IT team, Division A team and other Product Lines to implement improvements to our systems, test, then roll out to and train all controllers.
IFRS, GAAP and ICS BU champion globally, prepare and send guidance to reporting units, review results. Liaise between sites and Division A and Corporate Finance to ensure controls are in place to manage risk.
Report out to EVP Foundation Brakes as necessary.
Liaises with Directors of Program Management on Capital Investments
Your Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, Master degree and Accounting certification preferred
Minimum of 15 years of experience in accounting/finance within the automotive industry including experience as a Plant Controller.
Experience with testing, implementation and roll-out of finance systems
High level of commitement to meet deadlines and accountability for accuracy and integrity of data
Self motivated, able to prioritise and manage multiple conflicting processes.
