ASSISTANT FINANCE DIRECTOR for Catawba Regional Council of Governments
About the Organization:
Catawba Regional Council of Governments (CRCOG or the Council) has a vibrant and impactful 50+ year history of service to the 26 towns, cities, and counties located within the Catawba Region of upper-central South Carolina.
CRCOG is a non-partisan political subdivision of the state of SC, and the Council’s region encompasses the SC counties of Chester, Lancaster, Union and York. The Council has 22 full-time employees with offices in Rock Hill.
SC. Major CRCOG programs include economic development lending, federal and state grant writing/administration primarily for infrastructure and community development, workforce development as the operator of three SC Works offices, and transportation and land use planning for localities throughout the region.
The Council’s financial position is strong, with fund balances exceeding $18 million, and the Council has no long- term debt. Annual combined operating revenues are $6 million, with combined assets under management exceeding $35 million. The Position
The Assistant Finance Director is responsible for all accounting related to the grants division and the economic development lending division. The Assistant Finance Director may also assist with finance and accounting related activities of the Council’s workforce development program. This position interacts with multiple internal and external stakeholders, and reports to the Finance Director of the Council. The position also involves elements of agency cash management, budget and internal financial statement preparation, management reporting, compliance with federal and state regulations, grant reporting, and other administrative and program duties as assigned. The successful candidate will support the inter-relationships between sustainable financial operations and the organizational mission of economic development, community development, and government services.

Starting Salary range:
$60,000-$80,000, contingent upon qualifications.
