Hospice of Michigan is one of the largest non-profit hospice and palliative care providers in the country. Annual revenues total $90 million. Over 2,200 patients are served on a daily basis with a workforce of over 700 employees across 62 counties in the State of Michigan. The Director of Finance, reporting to the Vice President Finance/Chief Financial Officer, is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the Finance Departments. These responsibilities include oversight of accounting, patient financial services, accounts payable and data services (as it relates to fundraising and donor management). The Director will also provide oversight and guidance to the Data Solutions staff which report to the Information Technology Department. The Director ensures corporate compliance and keeps up to date on regulatory, accounting and tax authority and third-party payer changes and is responsible for the maintenance of the accounting records and a comprehensive set of internal controls designed to mitigate risk.
