Sales & Marketing Specialist (“Community Liaison”)
The Sales & Marketing Specialist (SMS) will focus on activities related to developing new
business and referral sources, establishing new client cases, and maintaining clients and referral
relationships. The SMS will be responsible for calling on Hospitals, Doctors, Rehabilitation
Clinics, potential clients, and others to promote Canaan Home Care’s services and unparalleled
value. Additionally, the SMS will enhance existing relationships with clients and referral sources
to ensure brand awareness and customer satisfaction. The SMS will work in conjunction with
Office Managers and the COO to build a solid referral source and business development
pipeline. SMS will report to the COO.
The primary responsibility of the SMS is to grow revenue. Responsibilities include, but are not
limited to:
(1) establishing new consumer accounts (i.e. paying clients)
(2) establishing new referral sources
(3) maintaining / supporting referral sources
(4) maintaining existing client relations (e.g. performing client reviews / audits, addressing client concerns, client communication, etc.).
Duties:
Establish new referral sources (will require cold calls, established meetings, etc.)
Support existing referral sources (e.g. follow-up visits, updates on cases, etc.)
Grow revenue base
Grow client base
Increase billable hours – perform home visits, understand client’s needs, and recommend
solutions
Maintain local clients – perform home visits / audits, address client concerns, document changes
in client needs, deliver outstanding client service; build and maintain customers for life
Maintain HIPAA compliance
Work independently and with other offices to identify potential third-party referral sources
Direct marketing/trade shows, etc.
Identify collateral requirements and/or marketing channels to reach target market
Additional duties as needed

Minimum Requirements:
1. 2+ years of Outside Sales work experience
2. Experience with MS Office
3. Valid driver’s license

Pay: $50,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
