This position owns the Finance team supporting planning and operations for S3, which includes capacity in all its facets to deliver the service. The role acts as a trusted partner to the business leadership of S3, works closely with key business partners across the AWS organization, including Product Managers, Capacity Management, Supply Chain, Forecasting, Economists and Data Center operations to drive thoughtful analysis and controllership that impacts actual financial performance of the business. He or she will have the opportunity to lead and influence multiple, high-visibility aspects of managing S3 capacity including shaping S3’s technology roadmap, long-term planning, operational controllership and capital efficiency analysis. Additional responsibilities include ad-hoc business analysis and support of special projects in future technologies. This role requires a self-starter with strong management and analytical abilities, robust problem-solving skills with both tactical and big-picture strategic views, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong ownership, curiosity, passion for diving deep, developing teams and a desire to learn are ideal fits for this role.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or related field
MBA preferred
Experience managing teams
Demonstrated ability to dive deep on ambiguous challenges and deliver actionable insight
Ability to work well with cross functional teams and present ideas to senior level executives
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while driving multiple projects in a fast paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer focused, professional demeanor
Proficient in Excel
Knowledge of TM1, Data Warehouse and SQL
