The Xbox Finance team has an exciting opportunity for a skilled finance professional to support the Gaming Marketing Team, driving growth of products across Gaming Consoles, Games and Services which include Game Pass and Live. We are looking for self-starting individuals with a strong drive for partnership and results, and great communication skills. This is your opportunity to be at the center of Microsoft’s Marketing engine, work with marketing teams and develop strong partnership with business leaders to help Microsoft continue growing in the Gaming space.
In this role, you will be involved in all aspects of Operating Expenses financial management, and you will engage directly with marketing managers and leaders to plan, monitor and provide guidance on spending across the division. The job offers opportunities to learn how to build scalable finance processes for marketing teams, operationalize hundreds of millions of investments to ensure efficiency and compliance, and evaluate ROI to help resource allocation and planning.
Responsibilities
Financial Planning:
Assist with the annual planning cycle for the businesses that you support.
Performance Management:
Monthly financial reporting – both written and verbal to the business and to finance leadership
Quarterly financial accountability – ensure your businesses adhere to their quarterly forecasts/budgets and identify areas of risk and opportunity. Act as the single point of contact for budget and forecast accuracy, working with internal teams to determine allocation of resources to produce accurate forecasts and communicate those forecasts to senior audiences.
Manage the close process – ensure the general ledger is accurate each month
Quarterly forecasting – Partner with the business to update forecasts for the remainder of the fiscal year
Help drive effective investment decision making through provision of value-add business and financial insight.
Project-based Business Insight:
Partner with the business to develop a deep understanding of the levers of the business and identify improvement opportunities
Drive analysis to help support new business initiatives
Partner with the revenue finance teams to develop ROI models and framework to support existing and new investments
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND 2+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
OR Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field
OR equivalent experience.

The salary range for this role is from $112,000 – $144,000. At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
