Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Consumer Health business to create a new publicly traded company. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 24 months, and it will be subject to legal requirements including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as required, and other customary conditions and approvals.
It is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, this position may be conveyed with New Consumer Health. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to the successful candidate by New Consumer Health at an appropriate time and would be subject to any necessary consultation processes.
The Senior Finance Manager will provide financial leadership to the Consumer Health Head of R&D and various R&D functional leaders for Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Safety, Strategic Initiatives, and Quality. This role will also provide leadership for all Digital First activities along with Consumer Health Innovation Finance FP&A related activities.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Shaping and delivering pipeline strategy and framing key management presentations in partnership with R&D senior management, and the Innovation Finance team.
Further, the candidate will partner closely with the finance team to develop the annual business plan and subsequent updates to ensure that financial commitments are met across Franchise Marketing and R&D.
This role will craft and implement future efficiency enablers including system implementations, operational improvements, and analytical automation efforts including influencing Project Diamond initiatives.
The Senior Finance Manager must build and utilize positive relationships with cross-functional global partners including Marketing, Portfolio Management, Group Finance, and Supply Chain.
Critical success factors for the Senior Finance Manager include the ability to connect in a global environment with business partners, function successfully in a matrix organization and to create and communicate actionable insights that influence strategic business decisions around multiple brands and innovation opportunities.
The Senior Finance Manager will be a Credo champion driving a well aligned Innovation Finance team through shared vision, priorities, and high performance culture. This role supervises two Senior Financial Analysts and an FLDP.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required with a preference in Finance or Accounting
A MBA and/or CPA, CMA, are preferred.
A minimum of 6 years of finance or accounting is required.
Prior people management experience preferred.
Prior FP&A experience is preferred.
The ability to effectively take on leadership roles in various functions is required.
Excellent analytical (MS Excel) and presentation (PowerPoint), as well as conceptual, communication and interpersonal skills required.
The ability to think creatively and work in a team environment is required.
Strong background in business partnering and project management, ability to work well in a dynamic environment and recommend and implement operational improvements, work independently and handle several tasks simultaneously required
This position is located in Skillman, NJ.
This position will require up to 10% local travel.
