Current American Heart Association (AHA) Certification for Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
PEDIATRIC experience (required) Responsibilities Accurately and correctly measures autorefraction, corneal curvature and patient’ s axial length with the A-Scan unit.
Accurately and correctly measures patient’ s intraocular pressure using Applanation Tonometer and Tonopen.
Accurately and correctly performs and records visual acuity, both distance and near, used pinhole and appropriate.
Accurately and correctly performs diagnostic ultrasound, both A and B Scan modes.
Accurately and correctly performs visual field testing using Goldman and Humphrey testing procedures.
Fill out Treatment Authorization Requests (TAR’ S) along with Rx when medicinal prescriptions are put through with MCAL for coverage.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge and use of eye drops and medications.
Knowledge and use of ophthalmic eye instruments and equipment.
Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Knowledge of ophthalmic environment and laboratory controls, methods, procedures and regulations.
