SUMMARY: Directs all distribution functions to ensure that customers receive the best service. Leads in the development and implementation of processes designed to achieve organizational objectives (Safety, regulatory compliance, service, delivery and cost).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
· Directs the company’s program for transportation of linen shipments and is accountable for the associated cost.
· Evaluates and selects suitable routes for delivery of linen daily.
· Effective utilization of Bay Linen assets including tractors, trailers and box trucks to improve operational performance. Responsible for resource planning based on projected delivery volume.
· Lead, secure and maintain equipment rental leases to ensure competitive rates and services to meet business needs and budget goals,
· Controls the relationship and requirements associated with the function of the distribution operation ensuring accurate and timely delivery of hospital linen to all facilities.
· Responsible for handling all hospital calls in concerns related to delivery transportation.
· Prepare budget, profit plans, and capital requests as required. Ensure department meets budget goals by monitoring overtime, equipment and all related expenses.
· Manage staffing requirements for the team. Analyzes the resource requirements and establishes plan to meet staffing requirements.
· Direct Distribution Supervisor and Lead.
· Establish a culture of safety throughout the Distribution department, maintaining a safe and secure work environment with a high level of safety awareness among team members. Develops training program for the department and is responsible for ensuring monthly meetings and all required training is presented to the team in a timely and effective manner.
· Interprets, trains and consistently enforces company policies and procedures.
· Ensure compliance with recognized standards of operation mandated by local, state, and federal agencies (OSHA, DOT, State of Florida, etc.) by developing and implementing programs related to employment, training, health, and safety.
· Maintains department safety and maintenance records per DOT and HLAC standards.
· Participates in company’s Safety Committee and coordinates efforts to aid in training, conducting associate observations, and conducting accident investigations to determine root causes and routine safety inspections.
· Participates in preparation of annual company inspections and customer visits.
· Works effectively with all other departments to secure an effective emergency response to ensure customers receive linen per the company’s hurricane preparedness policy. Responsible for emergency planning for Distribution team and efficient collaboration with operations to maximize resources under an emergency. Serves as active customer service contact during Hurricane Season.
· Monitors GPS system for production time waste.
· Develops key performance indicators for the distribution function and establishes overall performance objectives for the function.
· Participates in yearly goals and objectives process.
· Collaborates with Operations and Engineering teams to achieve most efficient product flow and to continuously drive best customer service results.
· Any and all other duties as assigned.

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
