At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Finance Analyst supporting NASA, you will be trusted to perform financial functions necessary to fulfill the requirements of this contract. The Finance Analyst determines cost of operations by establishing standard costs; collecting operational data. Improves financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management. Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs financial functions necessary to fulfill the requirements of this contract and integrates these functions across all areas of performance as appropriate
Performs financial, accounting or planning activities following general project or departmental guidelines, procedures in support of various functions such as budgeting, auditing and financial planning.
Assist in development of Basis of Estimates
Assist in development of Work Breakdown Structures
Conducting research, analyzing data, identifying trends, and preparing reports
Determining program requirements and making recommendations
Analyzing program policies, procedures, and systems and making recommendations to optimize
Drafting new or revised program policies and procedures
Assisting program managers with data supporting the development of spend plans, budgets and schedules feed into FA’s budgets and forecasts
Assessing and advising on potential issues related to costs, schedules, and performance
Preparing and presenting reports, deliverables, and recommendations
Complete and/or Review Expense Reports
Initiate Purchase Requisitions
Prepare/submit special pay requests
Gather and prepare data in support of invoicing backup
Setup and administer program STePS/Setris including resolving time discrepancies
Creates, maintains, and updates financial databases and spreadsheets, and generates various financial reports as required.
Supports assigned managers in managing, tracking, monitoring, and reporting financial data as requested.
Ensures compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as other government regulations.
Support on-going business analysis and respond to requests and inquiries from the Government relating to budget, schedule, Work Year Equivalents (WYEs), cost plans, NASA defined work packages/IDIQ and cost performance
Assist the Government in preparation of: status for customer-funded efforts, financial data for business cases; and Office of Management Budget (OMB) Agency IT Portfolio data collection activities, as needed
Provide quarterly spend plan vs. actual updates to funding customers with details on current and estimated spend, in accordance with DRD MA-018 Cost Reports, which includes but is not limited to actual plus/minus (+/-) five (5) percent (%) variance explanations, etc.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of relevant experience
Must have prior experience supporting federal contracts. Prior support to NASA preferred.
The selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements. Security clearance or Public Trust preferred.. US Citizenship is required to meet this requirement.

The likely salary range for this position is $48,000 – $72,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
