This position is responsible for maintaining safe and clean work areas. Managing the departments to their respective budgets including payroll, OT% and productivity rates. Managing the flow of goods throughout the inbound process (receiving dock to bulk racks to stocking). Providing leadership to develop Supervisors, create a team environment and continuous improvement in all areas. Working towards achieving all of the company’s goals.
Responsibilities Include:
Maintains a complete understanding of warehouse operations
Identifies and implements process improvements in a highly technical and complex environment
Effectively communicates and engage with all levels of the organization as well as key suppliers and customers
Provide leadership and talent management to their team by promoting team concepts, coaching, mentoring, training, individual development and creative problem solving
Drives a culture of accountability and results through strategic deployment and effective performance management to desired outcomes
With department manager and appropriate staff personnel, studies operations where cost standards are not being met to determine causes and apply corrective measures.
Allocate time and resources efficiently, focusing on ever-shifting priorities and continually seeking ways to improve individual and team performance
Manages department budgets and minimizes the need and use of over time.
Responsible and accountable for driving productivity improvement, accuracy of work, and completion in a safe and efficient manner.
Completes weekly activity reports.
May interview applicants and conduct orientation and safety training for new hires as needed
Ensures probationary and annual performance reviews are conducted in a timely basis for department team members.
Maintains good housekeeping and safety in assigned departments.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or equivalent related warehouse management experience
Minimum of 5 years of leadership and management experience
Proven analytical and problem solving skills
Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills
Experience managing and maintaining positive external business relationships
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Highly motivated to meet personal, team, and corporate goals
Demonstrated ability to provide excellent service for both internal and external customers
Ability to positively motivate individuals and teams to meet or exceed expectations
Management style that complements a culture of high integrity throughout all areas of internal and external business activity
Language Skills
Ability to read and write short correspondence in English.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Ability to exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to pick up and move objects

Requires manual dexterity and visual acuity sufficient to typing, filing and perform other administrative job functions (type, email, etc.)
