JOB SUMMARY The Talent Development Program Designer I develops and implements programs to enable learning of employees within business teams across the organization.
The Talent Development Program Designer I will work with assigned business teams to understand existing processes, systems and other resources to identify needs.
The Talent Development Program Designer I will design, implement and facilitate programs using online and facilitator-led modalities and work in conjunction with other members of the talent/organizational development team to deliver comprehensive solutions to ensure success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Communicate regularly with stakeholders to ensure talent/organizational development systems and programs meets business needs.
2.
Consult with business teams about talent development initiatives and facilitate development activities to achieve the goals of the business team.
3.
Design, develop, coordinate, implement, facilitate and evaluate seminars, workshops or training programs for professional and management/leadership curricula using in-person or virtul formats.
4.
Determine appropriate intervention (leadership coaching; teambuilding, etc.
) and training methodology including OJT (On-the-Job Training), eLearning, facilitator-led, simulations, etc.
5.
Proactively and reactively analyze current processes, provide recommendations and implement improvements to achieve maximum utilization and value of talent/organizational development systems and programs.
6.
Develop training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials required for delivering effective learning opportunities.
7.
Facilitate leadership development opportunities for groups of employees across the organization using in-person or virtual formats.
8.
Executes all phases of instructional design including analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation for projects of varying complexity.
9.
Advises employees and management on appropriate training resources to achieve desired results.
10.
Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, or consultation with business teams.
11.
Coordinate with Change Assurance and OE team to ensure training resource efficacy for supported projects.
12.
Manage knowledge for supported initiatives and facilitate subject matter expert communication.
13.
Champion the talent/organizational development programs within the HR organization, educating other team members on the capabilities and potential applications of programs to support their supported business teams.
14.
Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and talent/organizational development practices; make recommendations to improve current programs and processes.

Two (2) years of experience or recent formal education in design, development, and facilitation of group learning activities using adult learning principles, training, instructional design, talent/organizational development, education, or other closely related area.
2.
Bachelor’s degree in closely related human resources or educational field of study, or equivalent combination of related experience and education.
3.
Proven track record in effectively collaborating with others to develop talent/organizational development programs that achieve results of skill development delivered in a business environment.
4.
Experience in analyses of performance problems, delivery of programs to correct problems and improve employees’ performance, and analyses of programs’ effectiveness.
5.
Experience in designing, developing, and implementing training solutions that improve employee performance.
6.
Advanced knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office suite (specifically Excel and PowerPoint).
7.
Knowledge of eLearning content creation systems (i.
e.
Storyline) and training program design.
8.
Experience using virtual learning systems (e.
g.
, WebEx, Zoom, Teams)9.
Highly-effective and demonstrated project management and organizational skills.
10.
Ability to travel for facilitation and workshop delivery.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 1.
Master’s degree in related field of study.
2.
CPTD (Certified Professional in Talent Development) or APTD (Associate Professional in Talent Development), CPT (Certified Performance Technologist), SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources, or PHR (Professional in Human Resources).
3.
Familiarity with Human Performance Technology (HPT) theory and practice.
4.
Knowledge of human resources procedures, employment law, and governing regulations.
WORKING CONDITIONS This job operates in a professional office environment indoors.
Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS The position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and keying.
Occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying 10 lbs of supplies and materials is required.
