WHAT DOES A LIVE -IN NANNY DO? Live-in nannies work a typical 40-45 hour workweek and live with the family in a private room in the family home.
Nannies have two days off per week and a set schedule.

Nannies perform childcare duties as well as some light household duties such as laundry and picking up but do not do heavy housekeeping.
Nannies sometimes cook and run errands or shop for a family based on the nanny’s skill set.

Nannies are required to drive and have a good driving record.
Nannies live with the family; however, a live-in nanny is independent and an adult and spends her free time as she chooses after work and on weekends.

Nannies get two weeks of paid vacation a year and also often travel to fun places with the families they work for.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO BE A LIVE-IN NANNY? You must be 18 years of age and have some background working with children outside of your family.

Beginner nannies often only have babysitting experience while an experienced nanny may have significant childcare experience in a variety of child-related fields.
In order to be a nanny with YCN, you must be willing to relocate out of state for a minimum of one year to the family of your choosing.

You must be an experienced driver with a relatively clean driving record.
You must pass a background check and have references from people you have babysat for and/or provided childcare to.
