ABOUT THE JOB
Infinium Spirits, Inc. is fast-paced, and employs a passionate & high-performing team of operations, sales and marketing professionals. This is an opportunity to work closely with our distinctive portfolio! Reporting to the President of Infinium Spirits the VP Finance will oversee the finance department and own a critical leadership role for the organization. The successful candidate will nurture and build capability to manage the financial responsibilities of the organization and partner with other department heads in improving commercial and operational capability.
The candidate will also play a large role in steering the company’s overall strategic agenda working collaboratively with the leadership team to realize Infinium’s purpose and achieve its vision and mission. They will do this by acting as the “conscience” of the organization, living the company values, developing a positive, inclusive, and winning culture, and orchestrating improved financial and commercial performance results now and in the future.
The ideal candidate will bring vast financial, accounting, and commercial knowledge and experience to this position and apply it through various planning, organizing, problem solving, relationship building, directing, influencing, and communicating ways of working to enable Infinium to thrive, scale, and achieve long term sustainable growth.
THE DAY-TO-DAY
Run the Finance department optimizing structure, capabilities, relationships, and ways of working within the department, cross-functionally, and with key stakeholders
Build exceptional Planning, Reporting, Analysis, and Control disciplines for the organization within the finance department and beyond through a PRACTICAL approach centered on Team building, Involvement, Communications, Action, and Living the company values
Attract, hire, motivate, develop, and retain the finance team ensuring we have the talent, capabilities, and diversity to achieve Infinium’s vision and mission
Support the President in setting and managing the company’s overall agenda and priorities
Oversee and direct all aspects of delivering financial statements and results on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis ensuring accuracy and integrity of the results
Analyze the financial performance of the company and report it to the President of Infinium Spirits and the leadership team; establish actionable topline scorecards and KPI reporting as well as underlying reports and analytical tools (i.e., Volume, Price, Mix Analysis) for regular review to manage performance and growth
Orchestrate the creation of the company’s long-term strategic plan clearly outlining, aligning, modeling, and communicating key strategic and financial priorities and milestones, and mobilizing the organization towards the delivery of its results
Oversee the company’s annual planning process; formulate and execute processes to coordinate and align commercial, operational, and financial planning calendars and inputs to deliver an overall plan in an accurate and timely manner and in line with the strategic goals
Orchestrate the delivery of the annual plan and all key results; assemble business review presentations and manage regular timely reforecasts; drive organizational accountability and action towards achieving financial results
Lead business risk and opportunity identification as well as the ensuing risk mitigation and opportunity realization activities and efforts to ensure delivery of planned financial results
Develop department specific balance sheet and cash flow performance metrics and goals
Understand and plan the working capital needs of the business and communicate appropriately
Recommend, initiate, coordinate, and oversee special projects as needed to drive improved commercial, operational, and financial results, and strategies; improve revenue, reduce costs, optimize investment
Evaluate organizational projects, strategies, and plans to determine financial impact
Support all new brand partnership and acquisition activities from a financial perspective
Support new product development (NPD) initiatives and help facilitate Infinium’s NPD stage gate process to manage approvals and resource allocation
Build a pricing and revenue growth management center of excellence for the company optimizing profitability while supporting marketing on pricing strategy, sales on pricing execution and distributor pricing negotiations
Continuously evaluate procedures, processes and techniques looking for ways to create synergy between departments
Integrate the shared service Accounting function seamlessly into Infinium’s finance procedures and overall company business practices for optimal productivity and effectiveness
Develop, interpret, and implement complex financial and accounting concepts; manage overall company accounting policy and procedures and make key accounting choices geared towards establishing efficient, effective, transparent, timely, and accurate financial records for Infinium
Oversee, update, implement, and communicate key financial policies and deadlines
Travel as needed to partner with the team and manage supplier and distributor relationships
Understand the industry, Infinium’s brands and markets, the competition, business concepts, tools, and processes needed for making sound decisions now and for the future; apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

AM I THE RIGHT FIT?
A Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
10+ of experience in the wine & spirits (or related) industry
Knowledge of key consumption occasions, shopper messaging, and methods of activation.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Ability to collaborate and communicate with management, field sales teams, supplier partners and customers throughout the business and industry.
Knowledge of state and federal liquor laws required.
Master’s Degree in Business Administration preferred.
Experience with syndicated and depletion data.
Certified Spirits Specialist (CSS) Certification preferred or ultimately obtained.
This position involves working with alcoholic beverages and working in environments where alcoholic beverages are served and consumed.
Ability to frequently work nights, early mornings, and weekends.
Willingness to occasionally work in loud, poorly lit environments and outdoor environments.
This position may require frequent travel, including air travel. It is likely that this position will be required to travel more than 50% of the time within their assigned market.
