Familiarity with nonprofit management or socially responsible enterprises.
Coding experience so you can develop custom spreadsheets or tracking systems.
Experience summarizing complex information from a variety of sources, including surveys, research articles, or geospatial analysis.
Compensation: This position can be part-time with additional responsibilities, evolving into a full-time position, depending on experience and qualifications.
$47,000-$55,000, with 100% employer paid health insurance and paid time off.
Duties will include organization-wide accounting; strengthening our internal invoicing and financial management systems; compiling and analyzing food hub revenues and expenses;
Development of new approaches for subsidizing local food purchases by schools
Subsidizing healthy soil investments among farmers
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure effective systems are in place to track, address and report on the financial, project-based, social benefit and environmental metrics of the organization.
Lead grant reporting efforts:
Oversee the organization and entry of all financial transactions; maintain organized documentation as required.
Generate accurate financial reports and statements (ensure Food Hhub revenues and expenses are properly documented and tracked with the goal of financial viability for this business segment)
Ensure accurate and timely completion of the yearly tax return, sales tax, charitable solicitation license renewal, and other required reports
Establish and maintain strong relationships with team members, farmers, distributors, customers and other partners in our work.
Qualifications
Five years of financial management experience with small to midsize ventures.
Experience completing narrative and financial grant reports
Willingness to take ownership of and solve business problems by applying metrics
Ability to work and make decisions under pressure; ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, evolving setting.
