SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting Director of Finance and Assistant Director of Finance in successfully running
the hotel accounting department.
CORE FOCUS & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Qualified candidates must be able to satisfactorily complete the following responsibilities for Woodlark.
Other duties may be assigned.
1. Count daily drop and put daily deposit together
2. Input cash deposit by person and system for over/short
3. Analyze cash position and do change orders to replenish safe
4. Counts main safe daily to ensure accuracy of the hotel funds.
5. Maintain and enforce hotel credit policy
6. Obtain appropriate reports to establish credit on accounts to be approved
7. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of invoices
8. Ensure deposits are charged as scheduled
9. Ensure prompt payment on accounts. Regularly follow up on aged accounts
10. Reconcile cash payments received
11. Hold monthly credit meetings with appropriate team members
12. Promptly inform the Asst. Controller or Controller on delinquent accounts
13. Audit and administer city ledger accounts
14. Process credit card payments
15. Review and audit advance deposits
16. Research and process disputed charges and/or credit card chargebacks
17. Handle inquiries on charges from guests and credit card companies
18. Prepare appropriate reports and distribute as required
19. Maintain complete knowledge of property management system and procedures
20. Maintain knowledge of hotel room rates, packages, special programs and all pricing
21. Prepare, audit, and process daily revenue reports to accurately balance charges and payments
from PMS and POS systems.
22. Prepare month-end journals.
23. Prepare special projects as assigned by the Director of Finance & Asst. Director of Finance.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in same or similar position required, preferably in the hospitality industry. College
degree in accounting is preferred.

Candidate must meet the following cognitive abilities:
1. Ability to understand vendor and internal customer service needs & requests.
2. Ability to acknowledge vendor and internal customer requests in a polite manner.
3. Ability to clearly communicate in verbal and written English (additional foreign languages are
encouraged and preferred).
4. Ability to apply logical thinking and understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.
5. Ability to address and solve problems involving vendor and operational issues.
6. Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.

2. Lift / carry 10lbs (frequently) and 25lbs (occasionally)

5. May be exposed to extreme temperatures, dust, dampness, height, and moving machinery.
