The Division of Medicaid Services (DMS), Bureau of Rate Setting (BRS) is seeking a talented individual with a background in policy, analysis, economics, or related fields to join our team as a Section Manager for our Nursing Home Rate Setting and Policy Section.
The Nursing Home (NH) Rate Setting and Policy Section Manager oversees a dynamic team responsible for the analysis, development and implementation of reimbursement rates, financial audits, and financial policy for Nursing Homes in Wisconsin accepting Medicaid residents. Wisconsin Medicaid supports 13,000 residents across nearly 400 licensed nursing homes throughout the state. The NH Medicaid program has annual expenditures exceeding $900 million.
This position directs and oversees a team of IT project managers, analysts and professional auditors to accomplish work in researching, developing, and implementing approaches to setting NH reimbursement rates, monitoring NH data submissions, and auditing NH cost reports. The position also oversees the Department’s monitoring of NHs and works collaboratively with other BRS managers to review and assess reimbursement rates to providers across Medicaid long-term care programs.
