Overview of the SEO Analyst role Williams-Sonoma, Inc. . is looking for a SEO Analyst to take a leadership role in the vetting, implementation, and day-to-day management of new and existing strategies to drive growth and maximize return for SEO across all WSI Brands and International eCommerce sites. Lead the development of near and long-term SEO strategies related to keyword list development, site architecture optimizations, content management, and other strategies to maximize indexing, rank, traffic, and sales. . Heavy focus on collaboration with brand eCommerce partners, Technology teams, and external vendors to implement strategies. Responsibilities Develop and manage SEO strategies that include keyword targeting, content analysis, technical improvement, and customer engagement Work with brand eCommerce teams to strategize, develop, and implement site and content improvements Work with Technology partners – including product managers, engineers, designers, and UX – to implement SEO-driven technology initiatives, as well as reviewing and approving non-SEO initiatives Research and develop eCommerce and editorial content to target queries across multiple parts of the purchase funnel Identify areas of opportunity for improved on-site use of HTML/JavaScript for SEO benefit Take a leadership role with IT and Brand partners to ensure SEO projects are prioritized based on ROI Collaborate and influence brand partners on an SEO content strategy utilizing top keywords based on seasonality and relevant search intent Maintain a reporting dashboard that goes beyond traffic/revenue/keywords, and includes user engagement metrics like time on page, conversion, and click path Develop and maintain on-page optimizations – including title tags, meta descripts, and header tags – as necessary based on-page content and targeted keywords Manage strategy of keyword research using third-party tools to select target keywords based on relevance, search volume, and business priority Manage numerous outside vendors that support SEO strategy and drive growth Operate a computer and communicate via telephone Criteria 2 years minimum experience with SEO & eCommerce sites Strong background and experience with HTML & JavaScript Strong familiarity with Google and other third-party keyword research and SEO tools Experience with a web analytics system Strong analytical ability and expertise in Excel Ability to deal with ambiguity and a fast-paced environment Well-organized, high attention to detail, deadline-oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills Enjoys working with others as part of a team Ability to perform work onsite in the New York office full-time pending state, local, and Company return-to-work guidance during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. .
