White Star Logistics, Inc. is looking for a positive, enthusiastic, and motivated individual to join our team as a full-time Finance Manager at our Piscataway, NJ location.

The Finance Manager who works with the White Star Logistics team is responsible for managing all Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities and is accountable for all key performance metrics associated with cash flow and profitability of the company. The qualified individual will be required to manage a team, both local and remote, and will report directly to the CEO. This individual must have the potential and desire to grow with the company, while also being willing to perform day to day tasks when necessary. The position is based in Piscataway, NJ and will be in the office five days per week. Salary is commensurate with experience.

The essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Work closely with AP and AR personnel, as well as directly with customers, to ensure accounting accuracy and integrity.

· Resolve outstanding payments or receivables in a proactive manner.

· Work across functions to resolve any disputes and for reconciliations.

· Lead regularly scheduled audits

· Serve as key decision maker for establishing and maintaining customer credit

· Develop and implement processes that will improve functionality of the Finance department

· Collaborate with the Senior Leadership team to improve profitability of the company

· Play a lead role in the annual operating plan and budgeting process

· Create and track invoices as required

· Manage chart of accounts and make bookkeeping entries

Skills / Qualifications / Requirements

· Minimum five years of experience in finance is required; two years prior Finance Manager experience preferred

· Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field is required

· Prior experience with collections and managing customer relationships strongly preferred

· Prior team leadership strongly preferred

· Prior experience in the Transportation industry preferred

· Proficient use of all MS Office suite tools

· Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external team members, including CPA

· Exceptional decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills

· Ability to work on multiple tasks and prioritize to meet deadlines

· Strong attention to detail with dedication to accuracy

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Working knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles
