Weyco Group, Inc., a Glendale based distributor of shoes, is seeking a full-time Junior Front-End Developer that will assist the marketing team execute all interactive site and email marketing activities related to the portfolio of websites for Weyco Group. The ultimate goal for these efforts is to drive growth, increasing brand awareness, customer acquisition, consumer engagement, and customer retention. They are looking for someone who is a technically-savvy, hyper-organized, enjoys a fast-paced environment and ready to dive in and make an immediate impact. The Junior Front-End Developer will work directly with the Senior Marketing Manager, the Vice President of Marketing and collaborate closely with the IT Web Development Team Lead.
About the role:
· Build, test, maintain and update Weyco Group’s branded websites – accurately replicating design mockups and intended functionality
· Creating and deploying interactive and mobile-friendly applications using HTML, CSS, Javascript
· Assist with functional and visual validation of team’s work using cross browser testing tools and quality control checklists
· Work with internal marketing/web and external vendor teams to quickly resolve critical bugs
· Build and test HTML emails using templates
· Work with marketing project teams to ensure email campaigns, site refreshes and redesigns are delivered on time
· Step in as web team liaison to assist marketing team on other site focused projects – SEO, site speed, AB testing, etc.
· Collaborating with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability and performance
About you:
You’re experienced in working with websites and emails and interested in taking a lead role in end-to-end execution of strategic digital marketing initiatives supporting Weyco’s branded websites
Able to deliver clear and thoughtful communication plans to team members
You’re a self-starter with strong organizational skills and can manage projects from beginning to end
You thrive working in fast-paced and collaborative environments
Job Requirements
1+ year experience developing sophisticated e-commerce websites
· Basic knowledge of:
o HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
o Jquery, Javascript, JSF, Photoshop
o SEO, WCAG, Web Analytics
· A passion for the web and an eagerness to learn
· A readiness to embrace and use new approaches and to keep up-to-date with industry advances
· Strong communication and team collaboration skills
· Detail-oriented with exceptional problem-solving abilities
· Ability to work in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
· Ability to follow and understand code written by other developers
