WestRock is seeking a Finance Manager for a highly visible role that will partner with division, segment, and corporate leadership. The Finance Manager will be located in Cowpens, SC and will be involved in the preparation and review of internal and external reporting, various analytics, forecasts and budgets. Key areas of focus will include productivity and monthly reporting and analysis of results in support of the Division Leadership teams. In addition, the Finance Manager will participate in, and oversee, various team projects. In performing these roles, the Finance Manager will be expected to interact with numerous functional departments (both at Corporate and at Division levels) and with all levels within the company. The position will improve the performance of the Business through analytical support, facilitation and engagement.
How you will impact WestRock:
Manage closing and reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and ad-hoc analysis.
Coordinates annual budget development process
Leads decision making analysis/modeling (contribution margin, incremental costing, standard costing, etc.)
Provide accurate and thorough reporting and analysis.
Drives work process efficiency improvements
Supervises mill audits and associated control activities to ensure SOX compliance
Support senior finance and operational leadership as a strategic business partner.
What you need to succeed:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
MBA or CPA strongly preferred
Minimum of six years of experience and a track record of success in finance or accounting.
Manufacturing experience with a track record of driving sustainable results (e.g. EBIT growth, margin expansion, cash flow).
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills, with experience in process improvement.
Enjoy working in a team/collaborative environment
Advanced skills in Excel and Hyperion SmartView. Experience with QlikView a plus.
Ability to work independently, balancing routine responsibilities with ad hoc requests
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams
