Consumer Lending, Auto Technology
Wells Fargo Consumer Lending is a diversified product and services group that includes the company’s home lending, home equity, consumer credit card, personal loans and lines, dealer services and commercial auto and retail services. Nearly 60,000 team member’s work together to serve 36 million customers. Auto Technology is a technology arm of Auto Lending that executes the Wells Fargo Technology strategy and offers a strategic technology perspective to Auto Lending business. Our teams provide technology solutions to the businesses and manage the application portfolios through the enablers of skills, stability, security, scalability, speed, and satisfaction.
Position and Responsibilities
Lead Auto Technology Finance My Car Product Area
The Technology Executive will report directly to the Head of Auto Technology and will lead all aspects (transformation, product development, product discovery, application ownership) of the Finance my car customer journey. The leader will lead the teams to shift right in the in Software Development Lifecycle Management to ensure quality, and shift left through Site Reliability Engineering to improve availability enabling DevSecOps. As a leader, you will be responsible for the vision, strategy, roadmap, and support of the entire product portfolio of to improve availability and customer satisfaction aligning to the Wells Fargo Six S Strategy. Responsibilities include the following:
- Drive the efficiency, productivity and delivery of critical business capabilities with a focus on software, engineering guidelines, leadership, architecture, practice and tools.
- Collaborate with auto lending product line managers and product owners to establish target state Product Roadmaps and oversee execution in accordance to priorities.
- Participate in product cabinet meetings and setting of execution priorities. Drive progress toward business’ key objectives, striving for stretch and moonshot achievements.
- Develop business and technology relationships reflected by an increase of Net Promoter Scores. Oversee test automation and release management functions in support of product delivery teams.
- Drive engineering teams, scrum masters and agile teams adoption of and adherence to agile core principles and practices. Lead improvement in agile metrics including increased velocity and predictability and decreased defect ratio.
- Collaborate with peer auto lending sub-group Technology Executives to define technology vision and develop Application roadmaps for auto lending getting buy-in from tech and business decision makers
- Contribute to NFR requirements and drive strategies to uphold NFR’s through automation and frameworks. Drive efforts to ensure resiliency, fault tolerance, and performance of the applications.
- Ensure Risk & Compliance for processes and applications including on time execution of Preventative Actions, Security Section plans, Vulnerability remediation and technology compliance initiatives.

Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of software engineering experience
- 8+ years of experience with strategic planning in technology
- 8+ years of experience with managing software development projects through complete release cycles
- 8+ years of leadership and people management experience in a large-scale technology environment
Desired Qualifications
- A Masters degree or higher in computer science or engineering
- 8+ years of experience with Agile practices
- 5+ years of experience with systems architecture and design
- 5+ years of experience with modern software engineering technologies and tool sets
- 3+ years of managing a 100+ FTE engineering organization
