About this role:
The Finance Manager is a key member of the Local Government East division responsible for financial leadership and business partnership to the Regional Operations team. The finance manager must assist the division with action-oriented insights while also ensuring a timely, accurate close and reporting cycle. Further, the Finance Manager is responsible for putting mechanisms in place to ensure delivery of committed financial earnings through partnership with the Regional Operations team and influencing results.
What you bring to the table:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in economics, business or finance.
Experience:
5+ years’ experience in finance in a large-scale environment, multi-site experience preferred.
Successful, track record of partnering with operations to drive results.
Must be able to manage and complete multiple projects.
Experience in accounting or working closely with accounting teams during month end close cycle required.
Licenses/Certifications:
None required.
What you will do:
Responsible for preparation of monthly internal financial reporting and business unit analysis, client contract reporting, client billing and revenue recognition, client reimbursements, incurred cost, cost sharing, contract staffing, and offsite services.
Prepares and presents monthly analysis of business unit performance and variance to budget to divisional leadership.
Responsible for collaborating with operations, identifying opportunities, and recommending solutions to ensure division meets financial performance expectations.
Partner with FP&A team and Regional Operations team to provide input and assumptions into quarterly forecast and annual budgeting processes.
Ensures all month-end close and reporting functions under responsibility are performed timely and within any specified timeframes.
Serves as primary point of finance contact for Regional or Site Operations staff.
Maintains contract working knowledge to review contracts and transactions and record correctly.
Gather, extract, analyze and model data using analytical and statistical tools.
Review and prepare select journal entries to ensure divisional results are accurate
