Our Plymouth, MN location is looking for a Director, Financial Planning & Analysis role who will be responsible for leading financial processes related to annual plan, quarterly forecasts and 5-year strategic planning.
Management Responsibilities
This role will oversee a team of two analysts, with expectations that the team will grow in the future.
Job Functions
Lead financial processes related to annual plan, quarterly forecasts and 5-year strategic planning
- Work directly with VP-Finance & Analytics and CFO to establish and model key assumptions, investments, and results
- Deliver necessary documentation and ongoing reporting to leadership to manage and monitor results
- Develop and deliver ongoing and ad-hoc reporting to WEG BOD and business leadership
Financial and KPI results reporting (monthly, quarterly, annually)
- Analytics of key results (i.e. AUM roll forward results including new money, net flows, terms, etc.), financials (revenue and expense driver analysis) and staffing needs (including development of staffing models)
Identify and monitor the management of the firm s risk profile
- Enhance cash flow forecasting capability, developing new tools as needed
- Maintain cash flow model to ensure accurate forecast, including financing needs for M&A activity
- Oversee management of covenant and other requirements of debt and credit facilities
- Identify major financial risks for firm and mitigation plans (i.e. financial flexibility in bear equity market scenario)
Support M&A activities for the firm
- Evaluate results for acquired firms vs. expectations
- Calculate the value of future payments to acquired firms on WEG s balance sheet
Support delivery of reporting and analytic systems
- Upgrade and maintain financial reporting in COGNOS or other tools for ongoing reporting and ad hoc analytics

- Must be able to communicate and manage relationships sr. leadership across all departments

- Exhibit solid thought leadership and problem-solving capabilities
- Must actively pursue opportunities to increase visibility and value delivered throughout organization
- Must be able to understand and leverage data and analytics to improve decision making and results
- Excellent command of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. with an aptitude to learn new software
Education/Certification Requirements (See above)
- Requires a 4-years degree in finance, accounting or related field
- 10+ year track record of driving results in a growth environment
OSHA Requirement
This position requires the ability to stand or sit for long periods of time, file documents in high or low cabinets, to use the telephone and to use the computer systems.
