The essential role of the DEI HR Manager is to support the mission of Wayne Metropolitan community Action agency by developing and executing integrated efforts to foster Diversity, Equity and Inclusion through Employee Engagement. DEI HR Manager will develop Diversity Equity and Inclusions programs. The DEI HR Manager will serve as the designated representative for the Agency-wide DEI work for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. The DEI HR Manager will lead DEI and Employee Engagement Committees.
Essential Functions:
Works closely with executive leadership to create/incorporate a DEI strategic plan internally and externally.
Design, plan, and facilitate diversity and inclusion employee-focused trainings, workshops, seminars, multi-racial and group dialogues, and education-centered activities.
Assist in building and implementing a strategic focus for Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency initiatives in the priority area of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), Employee Engagement, ADA, Employee Rights.
Provide DEI Support and guidance to Ad Hoc Committees, supervisors and employees.
Provide leadership, guidance and oversight to all WM efforts in DEI including advocacy, partnerships, capacity building and outreach.
Lead administrative projects related to staff engagement.
Serve as the main point of contact for WM on topics related to DEI and agency equity including DEI employee relation cases.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree OR a combination of education and experience that is similarly equivalent.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Certification strongly preferred.
Working HR knowledge and DEI experience.
Working knowledge of intermediate internet applications and programs including Google technology and Microsoft Office Word and Excel. The ability to learn and utilize the necessary programs for this position.

High level of efficiency, accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form.
Good interpersonal and professional skills including but not limited to professional appearance, tact, punctuality, and dependability.
Ability to provide services for those persons facing economic, social, health, age, and educational barriers.
Perform work in a manner that upholds Wayne Metro policies and procedures.

Licensing and Other Requirements:
Valid identification and reliable transportation.
Must be COVID-19 vaccinated, or partially, with the ability to complete within 30-days of employment. Circumstances preventing vaccination, and corresponding accommodations will be reviewed and considered.
Travel Requirements:
Ability to travel to various sites.
Work Hours: Work to be scheduled Monday through Friday with specific hours to be determined by program needs.
