I Job Summary The Accounting Analyst, Corporate Accounting will be expected to apply accounting principles to prepare journal entries, analyze financial information, and prepare financial reports
Successful candidates should demonstrate strong accounting knowledge, including solid understanding of US GAAP II Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
Other minor duties may be assigned Executes moderately complex financial tasks in a timely and accurate manner; and completes individual analytical projects in a satisfactory manner given abstract project guidelines
Performs month-end close activities for assigned areas of responsibility including preparing journal entries of low to high complexity
Analyzes general ledger accounts for accuracy; Prepare monthly / quarterly account reconciliations and adequately document conclusions
Analyzes monthly financial results; able to communicate trends in results and provide meaningful insights into the results
Displays critical thinking skills in preparation of analyses Collects and analyze financial data and prepare monthly combined financial statements and reports
Coordinate preparation of monthly financial package and reviews for accuracy Assists with evaluating, documenting, and concluding on the accounting consequences of potential transactions
Participates in monthly financial review meetings Provides guidance to other Finance personnel for proper internal and external financial accounting procedures and their application
Assists with the maintenance and application of internal controls Execute internal controls responsibilities timely and accurately

A Education and Experience Education : Bachelor’s Degree (accredited), or in lieu of degree, high School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four () years of relevant experience
Experience : Three () years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement) B Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements None required
C Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required General understanding of US GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley and SEC regulations Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong business acumen Must be based in the Houston, TX area; no relocations Must be authorized to work in the US V Work Environment Listed below are key points regarding environmental demands and work environment of the job
