Want to use your leadership and financial skills to help the company deliver on their key strategic growth areas and initiatives? As a Manager II, you will support Walmart’s retail media business (Walmart Connect) as a member of the Revenue Finance Organization. On a daily basis, you will work with internal and enterprise stakeholders to assist in the development of the business’s long-range strategy, annual operating plan, and strategic programs.
You’ll sweep us off our feet if you…
Provide strategic input to the financial planning process by preparing financial analysis and modeling; recommending future expense targets; and planning and analyzing business performance in partnership with cross-functional areas.
Communicate with functional areas to understand significant variations; documenting and preparing results for presentation
Partner with controllership to manage complex control structures to mitigate risk of financial misstatement by examining and monitoring at different stages; participating on cross functional teams to develop new processes; ensuring proper controls are present in new and existing financial functions; and working to enhance reporting transparency of company financial systems.
Manage input for business decisions by producing financial models that incorporate assumptions, expectations, and known risks; prepare presentations and other supporting materials for recommendations; participate in business case presentations to senior and executive management; and communicate forecasts, assumptions, and variances to senior management.
Collaborate with senior management to plan and analyze business performance by identifying gaps between business goals and corporate objectives; provide feedback to management regarding risks associated with financial projects; support business unit budget process; and provide insight on relevant historical trends, expected future events, and retail trends.
Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; support plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identify and communicate goals and objective
Operate with a sense of urgency, enjoy working in white space and a fast-paced environment
Are data driven but can also zoom out “to connect the dots” both within Walmart Connect and to the broader Walmart enterprise
Use numbers to build a story by finding new opportunities or patterns to explain the ‘what’ and ‘why’ behind performance.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 4 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or relevant area OR 6 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area.
1+ years of experience leading and completing cross-functional projects
1+ years of senior leadership decision support and influencing experience
Strong organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
Detail and results-oriented with sense of urgency
