Our client is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to ensure that their daily accounting operations run smoothly and that the business can grow as efficiently as possible. The right Staff Accountant would be instrumental in the external reporting process, including assisting with the preparation of various reports, debt compliance reporting. The Staff Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce timely and accurate reports in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Maintain a filing system for financial information, records, and documents to ensure easily available information
Monitor account balances, track expenses, prepare analyses of accounts and related financial activity to produce monthly financial reports.
Prepare journal entries & Bill Backs and deductions
Research and correct account discrepancies, Accounts receivable deductions and clearings
Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts
Analyze and reconcile bank statements
Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports, verifying information Prepares payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts.
Ensure the confidentiality and security of all financial files
Help with field work for financial and operational audits
Perform other diverse duties as requested or required
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
QuickBooks experience required
3-5 Years’ experience of general accounting experience
CPG experience in Food & Beverage industry preferred (4 years +)
Advance Excel Skills required (Pivot Tables, Formulas, & Formatting
Experience working with UNFI & KEHE
Detailed oriented with excellent follow up skills and communication
Comfortable working remote as well as in office
Salary
$65,000 -$70,000
