You will serve as the finance leader for the Strategic Ecosystem and Industry Solutions Team (SEIS). This position provides an opportunity for an established, broad-based finance leader to join a team that is reshaping how finance can support an evolving and growing business. As a leader, you will have an overarching view of the Company’s solutions portfolio as well as strategies for Hyperscalers, Global System Integrators, and Industry Solutions.
What is primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?
We are looking for an experienced finance leader who is able to think strategically and execute tactically. At the same time, the ability to perform in a fast-pace environment is critical. Your primary responsibilities will include providing value add analysis and financial guidance to the business; leading and developing a high-performance finance team; leading cross functionally to better connect route to market strategies across industry vertical and technology areas.
Success in the Role: What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
Demonstrate sound understanding of the company’s technology offerings, partner value proposition by routes, as well as competitive differentiation.
Define, drive, and implement the organizations financial framework that drives accountability and maximizes performance.
Be able to understand and navigate through both key VMware structure and stakeholders to drive value and process improvement.
Lead developing and delivering data and analytics for the SEIS organization supporting on-going spending and headcount management, quarterly OKR reporting, half-year planning & quota setting, and investment prioritization.
Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives.
Participate in operations reviews to ensure both short-term and long-term business plans are achieved.
Make sound recommendations for improving performance and creating an environment of strong business controls.
