Job Role: Supply Planning Manager

Location: Carlsbad, CA

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a hardworking team of Supply Planners.
• Lead your team to implement and sustain industry leading planning processes and solutions.
• Become a trusted leader and partner across the Viasat commercial business division.
• Collaborate with teams internally and externally to establish standard methodologies, policies, and compliance to achieve greater efficiency and scalability.
• Develop, refine, and advise on relevant metrics and KPIs that demonstrate transformation progress and the associated impact to business performance.
• Help your team better understand and evaluate all aspects of BOM, MRP, & MPS in support of precise planning activities for smooth execution through the supply chain.
• Mature existing S&OP processes and implement for new programs.

Requirements

• 8+ years’ experience in Supply Chain Management roles within an engineering and manufacturing environment
• Strong team leadership skills required to influence effectively across management and functional teams.
• Strong Knowledge, understanding and practice of MRP principles, Oracle preferred.
• Strong experience with S&OP/IBP implementations and process development.
• Strong influencing, communication, and presentation skills – experience working in a matrix organization.
• High degree of initiative and ownership, attention to detail, and the discipline to follow through on assigned tasks.
• US government position. US Citizenship required.

Preferences

• Ability to develop solutions to a variety of problems of large to very large scope and complexity, often creating or revising company or departmental policies in the process.
• Experience in collaborating with contract manufacturers in a fully turnkey product environment
• Demonstrated experience in leadership and change management
• Continuous Improvement and Process Implementation experience (DMAIC, Lean Mfg, Kaizen)
• Strong knowledge and understanding of requirements planning/inventory management techniques including JIT, MRP, and KANBAN in support of make to stock and engineer to order manufacturing processes.
• Bachelor’s degree, quantitative majors and master’s degree preferred.
• APICS CPIM / CSCP
• Experienced in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for management reporting and presentation.
• Prior direct team management experience
• Data analytics/science experience

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $170,000.00 – $180,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Carlsbad, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
