The Finance Organization
At Verizon, we are building a world-class Financial Planning &Analysis (FP&A) organization. We have begun a comprehensive program to streamline processes, improve systems, realign the organization and add opportunities for personal skill-building and professional growth. We’re finding new ways to add value and provide strategic support. This is the kind of work we do. FP&A Corporate Team
Move beyond compiling data and assist in decision support as well as corporate planning. In this role you can have an impact on new business growth opportunities as well as business efficiencies through the development of business cases. Additionally, you will be connected to the business case work throughout the business to ensure they are captured in Verizon’s financial forecasts.
Performing financial analysis and develop business cases to evaluate enterprise wide decisions.
Performing Business case support for the Fit to Win Program.
Ensuring linkage of key business cases throughout the business into corporate outlooks, CV &5 Year targets, and budget submissions.
Supporting Ad hoc support for Corp Finance special projects.
Performing Enterprise wide Cost opportunity analysis.
Developing an intake process and coordination for business cases required throughout the enterprise.
Partnering with reporting organizations to track the success of business cases performed.
Providing decision support and guidance; support ad-hoc presentation development and executive review.
Where you’ll be working…
This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.
What we’re looking for…
You’ll need to have:
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
A Masters in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
A professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA).
Strong strategic and analytical capability, including the ability to analyze a large amount of data.
Strong strategic skills, with the ability to identify and assess key points, implications and recommendations; proven ability to structure business case around a high-level strategic vision.
Strong communication skills and ability to focus on the details.
Experience in Essbase, Smart View, Hyperion Planning, and Hyperion Strategic Finance.
