Duties/Responsibilities:
- The main concentration of this role will be on accounts payable, encompassing value/time gains and issue resolution through the enhancement and innovation of processes..
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entry preparation, reconciliations, and accruals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and analysis for decision-making purposes.
- Maintain compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
- Exploring opportunities for AP automation by leveraging ERP OEM and bolt-on solutions, as well as implementing banking automations such as e-checking.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in accounting and financial management software.
- Implementing AP policies and establishing safeguards to ensure compliance.
- Handling internal fulfillment or third-party integration for sales and use tax matters.
- Making significant improvements to the reconciliation and booking process for corporate credit cards.
- Significant opportunity for future growth in various areas, including but not limited to accounts receivable/billing/cash application, general ledger, cost and inventory accounting, tax, treasury, financial data mining, and limited Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A).
