You will find that onboarding and training is a top priority for UW Credit Union. The first 12-weeks of employment for our Financial Specialists are devoted to you and your learning/training. Responsibilities: What You’ll Do Achieve balanced scorecard results by meeting specified goals for product sales & referrals Acquire, develop, and build member relationships Appropriately analyze member needs, educate members about financial choices, and recommend appropriate financial products and services Maintain high degree of knowledge in all credit union products and services Actively participate in member ‘courtesy calling’ and ‘new account follow-up activities’ Exhibit a high degree of ‘mobility’ when developing and expanding member relationships Utilize networking skills when developing and expanding member relationships Contribute to activities that promote individual and organizational success Responsible for ensuring that all loan applications, accounts, and member transactions are accurate, complete, and appropriate for the member request Qualifications: What You’ll Need to Succeed These skills and experiences are essential to your success: 1-2 years of direct retail sales experience Demonstrated analytical, accuracy and problem-solving skills Exceptional customer service skills Strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills Proficiency with personal computer and office software Knowledge of new accounts, savings instruments, and consumer lending is desired, but not required These attributes and knowledge are desired but not required: 1-2 years of experience working in a financial institution or in a retail leadership role Knowledge of new accounts, savings instruments, and consumer lending This training class is anticipated to start on January 23rd: Virtual, classroom and branch training for the first 12-weeks of employment On the job training at a Madison area branch location that will be determined by your start date. 2 hours a week dedicated to studying to pass the Credit Life Credit Disability (CLCD) Exam Continuous learning and development opportunities including but not limited to transparent dialogs, resources, tools, and technical learning modules Why work for UW Credit Union?
