Mission Support Specialist GS
This position is with the Office of Field Operations, Boston Field Office, within US Customs and Border Protection Apply your knowledge and skill in administration to provide advisory and technical services to CBP management Apply for this exciting opportunity to strengthen the CBP’s ability to protect the homeland by analyzing and refining existing work methods and developing new methods and procedures
Duty locations include Calais, Houlton, and Jackman, ME, and Derby Line, Highgate Springs, and Saint Albans, VT

This position starts at a salary of $, (GS-, Step ) to $, (GS-, Step ) with promotion potential to $, (GS-, Step ) Salary listed reflects the rest of US scale and, if applicable, will be adjusted to meet the locality pay or cost of living expenses of the duty location (see list below) upon selection

Qualifications:
Experience: You qualify for the GS- grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:
Education Substitution: Successful completion of one year of full-time graduate education from an accredited college or university may substitute for the experience required at this level This education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work Check with your school to determine how many credit hours comprise a year of graduate education If that information is not available, use semester or quarter hours
OR A bachelor’s degree with Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) may also substitute for the experience required It is based on () class standing, () grade-point average (ie, GPA or higher of a possible , excluding pass/fail credits Pass/fail credits cannot be more than % of total credits), or () honor society membership
