Job Description
OVERALL DESCRIPTION
This full-time position is responsible for UVMC’s day-to-day Financial Management and Office Management. The position calls for experience with and knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting, excellent organizational skills, management of policies and procedures, vendors, record keeping, insurance, and facilities, along with HR support, fluency in standard software applications, and ability to learn new software. We expect this person to have good people skills, independent judgment, ability to wear multiple hats, flexibility and an ability to work as a team member. FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT (20 hours per week)
BOOKKEEPING: Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records.
· Accounts Payable
· Accounts Receivable
· Bank Reconciliations
· Maintenance of files and records onsite as required by State and Federal laws
· Payroll Processing
· Payroll Tax Return Preparation and Filing
· Reconcile and balance all AR platforms with QuickBooks
· Comply with GAAP and Non-profit reporting best practices.
· Attend staff, program, and Board committee meetings as needed to ensure effective communication within the organization
FINANCIAL REPORTING AND ANALYSIS: Prepare financial reports for internal and external purposes.
· Customized Report Preparation
· Financial Statement Preparation and Review
· Preparation for timely Annual Financial Statements and 990 Tax Return filing
· Work directly with UVMC’s Accountant to ensure compliance with IRS 501(c) (3) reporting rules for Tax Exempt Organizations
· Prepare and present analysis of financial reports as requested by the Executive Director and/or Board of Directors
OFFICE MANAGEMENT (20 hours per week)
OFFICE MANAGEMENT: Maintain office operations.

· Participate actively in the planning and execution of UVMC events
· Provide backup customer service and data entry to Registrar during peak registration periods
· Maintain a receptive, organized, clean, and pleasant environment;
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher. Education or credentials in bookkeeping or accounting highly desirable.

· Excellent computer skills; knowledge of PCs and applicable software such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Gmail/Google Documents, and ability to quickly learn new software as necessary
