UW Primary Care (UWPC) is a network of 16-Community-based clinics throughout the Puget Sound region. Our South Lake Union clinic has an outstanding leadership opportunity for a HEALTH SERVICES MANAGER (Clinic Manager) to lead our UW Medicine Primary Care Clinic at South Lake Union!
The UW Medicine Primary Care clinic at South Lake Union is one of five (5) Primary Care clinics of our Seattle Central Region which encompasses South Lake Union, Ballard, Belltown, Ravenna, and Fremont Clinics.
Located on the corner of Dexter Avenue N. and Republican Street, UW Medicine Primary Care at South Lake Union serves our community six days a week.

South Lake Union has been awarded recognition by the National Committee for Quality Assurance Patient-Centered Medical Home Program and offers a full spectrum of primary care services that include family medicine, integrated behavioral health, obstetrics and gynecology, and sports medicine.
Additional services on-site include a pharmacy, laboratory, and digital X-ray. Medical advice is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and now offers telemedicine visits that are by secure video (using a mobile device, tablet or computer for general consultation and obstetrics (OB) services.
Also located within the building, you’ll find designated specialty care from the UW Diabetes Institute and the Karalis Johnson Retina Center, where Research scientists and doctors work side by side, making it one of only three centers in the country where patients benefit from the combination of clinical care and the latest retinal research and discoveries in a single environment.

HEALTH SERVICES MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES
In partnership with the Clinic Chief, the Health Services Manager (HSM) will provide the operational oversight and administrative management for the Primary Care Clinic. They will hire, supervise, and mentor clinic staff, implement programs to meet specific patient care needs, and work to continually improve clinic operations and efficiency.
The Health Services Manager reports to the Central Region’s Assistant Director, and is charged with successful operations management, value-based care, financial management, compliance, risk management, and employee satisfaction & retention.
They will establish and maintain a professional culture and environment that fosters effective, efficient, and safe patient care practices, and that supports the goals of the UW Medicine “Patients Are First” Initiatives.
The HSM also promotes and champions our organizational culture imperatives to support a positive employee experience and that of teamwork, diversity, equality, inclusiveness, and belongingness. They will lead our employees toward career development, retention and work-life balance.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Health Care Administration, or related field; or equivalent experience
3 years of progressive supervisory and management experience with budgetary responsibility
Demonstrated management/leadership and program management skills
Knowledge of ambulatory care environment and healthcare trends
Demonstrated ability to analyze financial, quality, and clinical service issues
DESIRED:
5+ years of leadership experience in an outpatient primary care setting
Active member and/or prior experience within MGMA (Medical Group Management Association) and/or other recognized Practice Management associations.
UW Medicine includes Harborview Medical Center, UW Medical Center – Montlake, UW Medical Center – Northwest, Valley Medical Center, UW Primary Care, UW Physicians, UW School of Medicine, and Airlift Northwest.
