The department has 12 subspecialty Divisions: Women’s Health Montlake, Harborview, Northwest, VA, Complex Family Planning, Gynecologic Oncology, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility, Urogynecology, Adolescent & Pediatric Gynecology, Education, Research. The Department occupies space at multiple sites including University of Washington Health Sciences Building and Medical Center (UWMC), Harborview Medical Center (HMC), Valley Medical Center (VMC), Seattle Children’s Hospital (SCH), South Lake Union, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (FHCRC), and other space in the Seattle area.
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has an outstanding opportunity for an Associate Director of Finance.
Under the direction of the Vice Chair of Finance and Administration, the Associate Director of Finance provides senior level operational, administrative and financial oversight to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (Ob/Gyn). Responsible for budgeting, the establishment of financial systems for the Department and Divisions and oversight of revenues and expenditures to include budget development, financial functions (purchasing, payroll, budget reconciliation, expenditure controls) and special projects. The Associate Director may also participate with the Director and various affiliate institutions on faculty deployment, business development, financial & strategic planning. This position would directly supervise and oversee the work of three full time employees: an Analyst, Budget Fiscal/Specialist Lead, and Fiscal Specialist 1. The Associate Director of Finance will also partner with the Department’s Grants Manager and may have dotted line supervisory responsibility over that position as well, depending on experience.
Department-wide Financial Systems and Reporting
Supervise and manage the Department financial activities on a day-to-day basis including:

Oversee the clinical funds flow for the Department and Division including:
Leadership and Administration
Supervision of professional and classified staff including but not limited to
Regulatory Compliance Activities
Special Projects and Other Duties
Supervision of Department Finance Team: 3.0 FTEs
