Job Description Summary
Under limited direction, and utilizing standard University tools (Business Objects, Hyperion Planning, MS Office, etc.) to support and improve on reporting process and its output, provide financial support for the Institute for Obesity, Diabetes, and Metabolism (IDOM) and the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism (EDM). In partnership, with the Executive Director of IDOM, responsible for day-to-day management of IDOM finances, including budgeting, variance analysis, and short & long term projections. Ensure use of analysis and reporting best practices. Strong client orientation is crucial to this role given its support of multiple business units across the Division. Assist in budgeting and reporting. Manage service centers and assist in planning and financial analysis. Assist faculty, research coordinators, and grants coordinators/managers in managing sponsored projects activities as needed. Manage and report on gifts, endowments, and other discretionary accounts. Ensure compliance with sponsor guidelines, if applicable, and with university policy. Must have excellent interpersonal and communications (written and oral) skills. Represent the division in interactions with school/university personnel. Interact with university officials, faculty, and external groups representing financial matters as needed.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, or other business discipline and 5 to 7 years of related work experience, preferably in the healthcare, non-profit or higher education sector, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting and strategic financial analysis is strongly preferred.
Applicants must have a strong sense of accountability and stewardship for University resources.
Strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to support a diverse community, including senior management, faculty and staff.
