Works under the direction of the UCI Foundation Senior Finance Analyst, the finance analyst provides financial management and analysis in the area of gift receipts and University Advancement and Foundation accounting. Major duties include financial management of all gift data and cash accounts, oversight of funds in Abacus accounting system and financial and systems auditing.

Required:
Bachelor’s degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Working knowledge of financial processes, policies and procedures.
Strong knowledge of financial data management and reporting systems.
Proficiency in the use of spreadsheet and database software.
Strong interpersonal skills, analytical skills, service orientation, active listening, critical thinking, attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a high volume environment, organizational skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, sound judgment and decision making.
Ability to function effectively as a member of a team.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Skills to provide coaching and mentoring to support staff.
Ability to perform moderately complex financial analysis and customized reporting.
Preferred:
Intermediate knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
Experience using UC Irvine’s on-line financial and administrative applications, including GLI, Data Warehouse, and Kuali.
Familiarity with UCI administrative organization and leadership.
Knowledge of university policies, procedures and practices.
Working knowledge of University of California Policies and Procedures.
