This position is for a Marketing Communications Specialist, supporting B2B communications projects for AARP Medicare Supplement Plans on the Distribution team. The ideal candidate will collaborate with internal teams and effectively deliver key messages to intended audiences with accuracy and professionalism while maintaining brand integrity. This role places heavy emphasis on writing, proofing and helping to manage simultaneous email nurture campaigns. The Marketing Communications Specialist must be an organized, motivated self-starter with excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as great attention to detail. The candidate must have a growth mindset and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, be flexible, and prioritize multiple time-sensitive tasks simultaneously.

Primary Responsibilities:
Help create and manage email nurture campaigns, including message concepting and writing copy for various agent groups selling AARP Medicare Supplement Plans
Manage email lists, set up communications in email platforms and send emails
Help to write, proof and edit content for B2B materials including brochures, emails, flyers, newsletters and social media messages
Manage social media communities on Facebook and LinkedIn, including posting content, moderating comments and member management
Manage communication and post analytics and reporting. Provide regular updates to the team
Review analytics and offer recommendations on improvements
Prioritize projects, manage timelines, tasks and deliver quality work on time
Additional tasks as assigned

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing , Public Relations or related field OR 4+ years of experience in Marketing/Communications
3+ years of writing experience and content development
3+ years of experience in the development and execution of marketing communications campaigns
3+ years of experience with Salesforce (Exact Target), Constant Contact or similar email system
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications
Design experience and working knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop
Experience working in the Medicare or health care industry
Working knowledge of Marketo or similar automation system
Experience working with HTML

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $54,400 to $97,000. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $60,000 to $106,700.
