The Finance Manager will support the financial planning and performance management process to deliver Murad’s sales and profit targets. The Finance Manager is a key finance team member and is expected to work across sales channels, geographies, and departments. The position reports to the Director of FP&A.
Month End Results / Reporting:
Provide support to the accounting team during month-end close including tasks such as preparing accrual journal entries and investigations into actuals
Prepare FP&A files for the close and ongoing forecast
Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement
Serve as the finance administrator for Workday Adaptive Planning
Provide routine reports to Murad Leadership and Unilever Prestige, as required
Perform ad-hoc analysis where required to assist in management decision-making
FP&A:
Partner with Business Units to build annual budgets and monthly forecasts
Support department leads with BMI accruals, demand forecasts, and deductions
Utilize BI tools to deliver meaningful insights into business performance
Enhance revenue forecasting by building and maintaining sales bridges, partnering with commercial teams to identify risks and opportunities
Support working capital and capex reporting and forecasts
Build strong working relationships with business partners across various cross-functional teams and the broader Finance organization to ensure financial objectives are achieved
Identify opportunities to further improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the financial planning process
Ability to learn new skills quickly

Experience in developing financial models, forecasting, reporting, and variance analyses

An advanced level of skills in Excel is a must
Experience with Adaptive Insights, Oracle EBS, Oracle BI, and Oracle PBCS (Hyperion Planning/SmartView) preferred but not required
Power BI Working knowledge preferred but not required
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
CPG or Beauty industry experience is an advantage
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required
3-5 years of relevant work experience in financial planning and analysis
Can do and willingness to learn attitude

This position is based in our El Segundo, CA headquarters, which is currently 40% hybrid onsite/remote work.
The expected base salary for this position is $115,000 to $120,000. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results.
