Unilever International (“UI”) is a complementary business unit within Unilever, specialized in servicing white space opportunities/markets, which are complementary to the focus of the respective local Unilever operating companies.
Operating with an alternative route-to-market model, UI is able to reach underserved channels and consumers, thereby driving incremental business to Unilever. The scope of the business unit reaches from exporting & importing best-selling items across various geographies around the globe, selling into alternative channels, as well as leading special strategic projects within Unilever.
UI is a global business unit with headquarters located in Singapore, and five global hubs (US, UK, UAE, Korea, and India), offering a diverse range of products, as well as expertise in utilizing 3rd party distributors to reach consumers in over 80 countries.
The primary purpose of this role is to support the UI Americas business unit specifically on the North America business (United States & Canada), as well as strategic projects within Finance that will improve processes and workflows within the overall UI Americas Finance organization. As such, the role will primarily be a liaison to the Finance manager for North America, significant exposure to the Finance lead for the Americas, as well as the HQ UI Finance in Singapore.
Who You Are & What You’ll Do
UI North America Business Partnering and S&OP:
Manage Sales & Operating Plan (S&OP) for UI North America, driving all financial elements of forecasting and reporting cycles
Continuous improvement on forecasting cycles, working closely with Sales, Marketing, and Supply chain teams to build a robust bottoms-up approach to forecasting business performance
Manage and coordinate the delivery of monthly and annual financial submissions along with commentary across several audiences, including leadership teams at UI Singapore HQ, as well as Unilever North America
Liaison between North America and UI Singapore Finance, managing the management reporting P&L credit for global imports into North America
UI Americas Special Projects:
Support Finance lead for UI Americas in various special projects involving process improvements across Pricing, Controlling, Reporting, Forecasting etc.
Ownership of UI Americas management performance global P&L crediting framework; ensuring proper global P&L reporting across ~20 P&Ls spanning NA & LATAM
Support business case analyses primarily on North America, as well as potentially global scope projects such as acquisitions of new business

What You’ll Need To Succeed
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; MBA or CPA strongly preferred
4+ years of related financial planning and analysis experience with increasing responsibility and control
Ability to work independently – specifically on projects – and lead key initiatives and in a fast-paced, and constantly changing environment
Create robust financial business case models, and as a result of analysis formulate findings and providing a founded point of view for decision making support to the leadership team
Preparing forecast submissions, business results analysis and commentary
Commercial support and decision support, including preparing ad-hoc financial models
Properly managing workload, timelines and deliverables, and expectations in a highly entrepreneurial business environment – high-growth, fast-paced, performance-driven
Strong interpersonal skills
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically Microsoft Excel
Experience using data systems (SAP, MSBI, PBCS) preferred
