Director of Finance
We are looking for a data-driven, detail-oriented Director of Finance to join our Leadership team. Our ideal candidate has a background in Healthcare and Non-Profit, and 5 or more years of personnel management experience.
The role gives you the option to work a weekly hybrid schedule between home and our office in Lafayette, CO.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Finance is responsible for the planning, coordination, direction and supervision of accounting and billing operations in a multiple business unit environment. The position has oversight of the financial control areas of general ledger, disbursements, fixed assets, revenue cycle and cash receipts.
EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance or Business Management with an emphasis in accounting required
- CPA or MBA preferred, but not required.
- Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Minimum of five years of experience in a supervisory role overseeing multiple financial control areas is required
- Minimum of five years of experience preparing budgets, performing financial analysis and preparing financial statements including integrated statistical reporting is required
- Minimum of five years of experience with multiple business units and cost accounting is required
- Experience in a health care environment preferred
- Previous experience with general ledger, payroll and HR systems conversion
- Strong acuity in database management and custom report writing
- Maintain highly confidential information
- Highly organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, team oriented and customer focused
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Work well under deadlines while managing multiple tasks
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with a critical eye to detail
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills

- Successfully pass agency required background checks
- Must have valid driver license, reliable transportation and vehicle liability coverage in the amount of 100k/300k for Bodily Injury and 100k for Property Damage
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Direct and supervise the payroll department, general accounting and billing teams, including their hiring, professional development and assignment of duties
- Works in partnership with the VP/CFO to integrate the processing of financial transactions workflow with financial reporting
- Responsible for the month-end close process through preparation and analysis of financial statements including integrated key performance metrics reporting
- Oversee accounting operations including control systems, transaction processing and policies and procedures
- Responsible for coordinating the annual financial audit
- Prepare cash forecasts
- Presents constructive feedback regarding system or process failures and participates in resolution in a proactive and positive manner
- Reconcile general ledger accounts
- Assist with preparation and testing of internal control structure
- Custom report writing using various databases and Excel
- System and data conversion and balancing
- Perform variance analysis of business transactions
- Assists the VP/CFO with special projects
- Participates in organizational Leadership functions and Administrator on-call
- Serves as accounting liaison internally and externally
