Transportation Federal Credit Union
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and works with and is part of senior management team to define organizational and strategic goals in conjunction with Board of Directors (BOD). Develops and maintains accounting information according to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) concerning income, expenses, assets, liabilities and capital as a basis for management planning and decision-making, and for fulfilling financial reporting requirements.
Responsible for the management of various organizational functions, including financial reporting, accounting, investments, annual budget, asset/liability management, risk management, and collections.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience
Ten (10) years’ progressively responsible accounting experience in a financial institution or public accounting firm. Credit Union experience a plus. Seven years of supervisory experience required.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required; Master’s degree and CPA preferred.
Interpersonal Skills
The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job and a high level of interpersonal skills are critical to the success of this position. Work frequently involves contacts requiring considerable discussion of problems, material presentations, and resolving issues impacting departments. Must have exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Other Skills
Must have excellent knowledge of accounting principles and computer applications, including the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) at a minimum. Must have analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills. Experience with core processing systems.

Pay: $150,000.00 – $170,000.00 per year
