Job Summary:
The Thermo King (TK) Latin America (LATAM) Commercial Finance Manager is an integral part of both the TK Americas Finance Team and serves as primary finance business partner for the TK LATAM Management Team. The position is responsible for financial planning, forecasting, management reporting and analysis, compliance, and support on finance related matters. The role will provide support across all areas of Finance to understand and communicate timely trends, quantify, and help solve operational issues and mitigate financial risks, including a focus on market insights, sales trends, pricing analytics and dealer financial performance and future health. Candidates must have a proven background of authentic leadership, analytical excellence, and a strong work ethic in a fast-paced environment. A successful candidate will be business and profit and growth-minded, self-motivated, and have a commitment to continuous improvement.
This key role will support the LATAM management team with aligning financial strategies and programs to improve overall performance and profitability, as well as driving key processes like the operating forecast, annual operating plan, and long-range plan. Support the strong Thermo King brand across Latin America and requires productive working relationships with all levels of management, many different functions, and the Thermo King Dealer Network.
Business Partnership
Provide insight and guidance to business partners about performance and identify opportunities for improvement across all levels and functions
Capture and understand financial results from all entities across the region
Search for explanations and provide guidance on opportunities
Manage and actively participate in forecasting, annual planning, long range planning, and other strategic planning processes
Own and deliver financial presentations and material that is aligned to corporate standards and ensure standards are met across the Region.
Partner with Credit and Collections to evaluate credit line levels for the Thermo King Dealers
Responsibilities:
Partner with the LATAM Management Team to develop strategy and translate to actionable and measurable business plans.
Manage and support the annual planning process, including setting guidelines and targets, ensure compliance with corporate requirements, partnering to business to ensure alignment with LATAM strategy, and provide in depth analysis to validate and understand growth programs, productivity, and other key assumptions
Participate and be lead finance contact for the long-range planning process, including providing financial, business, and macroeconomic guidance, supporting the development of market growth and share models, and preparing LRP financials for review with senior leadership and corporate stakeholders
Lead monthly operational/financial reporting, and presentation support
Participate in the financial closing process to validate, understand, and communicate performance and metrics
Identify risks and opportunities and engage team on countermeasures and mitigating action plans
Develop tools for early identification of financial problems and make recommendations for resolution of problems including A3s and Countermeasures. Examples include: price realization analytics, order pipeline, demand planning, etc.
Lead the management team functional reporting, forecast, and annual plan processes. Partner with senior leaders to define functional plans, analyze performance, and ensure alignment with Latin America priorities
Provide support and establish standard processes for systems and reporting. Work with FP&A and Finance IT teams to develop technical training programs for new and basic users
Participate and lead special projects and initiatives, including but not limited to report rationalization, financial system implementation, Oracle business intelligence, planning system enhancements.
Able to travel to various LATAM countries as business needs require.
Qualifications:
Four-year degree in accounting or finance required; MBA and/or CPA preferred
10+ years of experience within the Finance function of a publicly held global Corporation required
Demonstrated track record of building trust and operating effectively within a dynamic and changing organization.
Team player with a strong ability to build relationships and instill confidence and trust with executive management and external stakeholders.
Robust commitment to a culture of proactive compliance
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently, implement process improvements, and perform in a fast-paced environment
Capacity to balance priorities, keep focus, and prioritize, to meet requirements even in high demanding conditions.
Strong analytical, accounting, and reporting tools and system skills including Tableau, HFM, Oracle and Excel
Technical skills in accounting, finance and other areas as well as experience with accounting cycles, such as AOP, LRP, and standards setting
Bilingual English/Spanish
Portuguese is ideal, but not required
