The Senior Finance Manager will help drive revenue management, annual budgets, financial forecasts and accounting functions for the organization. They will assess organizational performance against both the annual budget and long-term strategy, and provide critical financial and operational information to leadership. As the leader within the Finance department, they will provide day-to-day direction and support to our talented team.

Essential Functions:

• Manage multiple concurrent complex projects and work plans.
• Manage multiple stakeholders, aligning on common goals and communicating risks; run effective meetings.
• Build relationships of trust across functions and organizations; collaborate effectively across teams to define strategy, goals and commitment to timelines and deliverables.
• Create and maintain long-term budget planning and cost management in alignment with the organization’s strategic plan, especially as the organization considers new programs and funding sources.
• Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
• Identify project risks early and implement action plans to mitigate or eliminate risks.
• Maintain internal control safeguards and coordinate all audit activities.
• Oversee all accounting functions, expenses, accounts payables and accounts receivables, and collections.
• Forecast and analyze cash flow trends and interpret the financial results.
• Assess organizational performance against both the annual budget and long-term strategy.
• Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to leadership, and make actionable recommendations on financial management, strategy, and operations.
• Establish investment and financial management policies that comply with applicable regulations and best practices and are approved by the Board.
• Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with applicable Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure the organization uses automated financial information systems that meet the needs of the organization and secure the organization’s assets.
• Manage cash flow and forecasting.
• Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes a minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
• Optimize the handling of banking and investment relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions.
• Oversee budgeting and the implementation of budgets to monitor progress and present financial metrics both internally and externally.

Qualifications:

• CPA preferred.
• A minimum of a BS, preferably in business, accounting, or economics required.
• You have worked closely with software engineers, QA, product managers and other engineering teams to get high-quality products and features through the software project lifecycle (build, test and release on time).
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
• 7-10 years of broad finance experience that encompasses accounting, budgeting and forecasting, treasury functions, financial analysis and making actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
• Experience managing the finance function (accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting) within a diverse, geographically dispersed entity.
• Strong analytical skills and experience transforming a strategic vision into an operational model.
• Understanding of and experience with applicable financial regulations.
• Experience selecting and implementing accounting and financial management systems.
• An effective communicator at all levels in the organization, with strong oral and written skills and a willingness to share information.
• A collaborative and flexible style, with a strong service mentality.
• Creativity, with experience funding activities in ways that both cover costs and generate funds to build reserves.
• Experience with NetSuite strongly preferred
