Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Los Angeles Regional Office is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Staff Manager (JL18).
This role could include a number of different departmental responsibilities, including, Vehicle Supply, Merchandising, TCUV, Sales Support, and E-Commerce.
Reporting to the Vehicle Operations Manager, the person in this role will support the Los Angeles Region’s objective to demonstrate qualities of leadership, business insight, initiative, and strategic thinking.
What you’ll be doing
Support achievement of the Region’s sales and customer satisfaction/retention objectives.
Provide oversight and direction to team members within the operating unit in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures.
Ability to demonstrate managerial and motivational skills to influence staff and the dealer organization’s behavior.
Must be able to effectively supervise sales, service, and/or technical training associates.
Communicate business strategies and goals to all Toyota departments and associates.
Plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of business processes and procedures.
Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
Strategy, design, collaboration.
Manage budgets varying up to $1 million.
Leads teams from 0-10.
Level of decision-making authority is all about problem-solving (routine vs. vary), accountability (budget control), and strict policy to follow vs autonomy to figure out how to solve issues. Most professionals are clearly directed and subject to broad procedures with defined policies.
What you bring
Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in a business-related subject or equivalent professional work experience.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Extensive experience in the automotive industry.
Effective presentation skills.
Ability to travel up to 75%.
Added bonus if you have
District Manager experience (or any related field role).
Business management experience.

The salary range for this position is $127,840- $207,740 per year.
