DEPUTY FINANCE DIRECTOR/CONTROLLER
Salary Range: $87,727 to $136,071
(35 hours weekly)

As a Town Charter defined position to assist the Director of Finance, this is a highly responsible supervisory and professional position performing accounting and finance work. The position performs and oversees technical governmental accounting; performs administrative work in maintaining appropriate internal controls and financial records of the Town. It provides administrative and technical support to the Director of Finance and manages the Town’s municipal accounting system, accounts payable, account receivables, payroll, and preparation of schedules for the annual audit. Assists in the development and monitoring of the annual Comprehensive Budget and five year Community Investment Plan.
Minimum Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a closely related field and have over 5 years of increasingly responsible experience in accounting and finance, audit principles and practices; Associate’s degree and 7 years of experience; High School Degree/GED and 10 years of experience. Plus 2 years of supervisory experience in a finance department. Municipal accounting and finance preferred. A CPA, CPFO or CPFM designation is preferred.
