• Our Team Members – We have over 5 full-time team members who we need to keep up to date on all tax legislation changes and provide helpful insight to our clients.

Role Overview

Todd Accounting is looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join our fast-growing professional services in-office team!

Our firm services hundreds of small business owners and high net worth individuals across multiple advisory offering including Tax Planning, Tax Implementation, and Chief Financial Officer services. Unlike most tax firms focused on compliance, Todd Accounting helps our clients proactively implement strategies that save them money on taxes and help build a stronger financial future.

What You’ll Do

• Train and become a tax planning advisor helping walk clients through different strategies that may help them make smarter tax and financial decisions.

• Prepare and review year end tax returns for small business clients and high net worth individuals.

• (Support to Mayumi Todd) Prepare and present tax planning kickoff calls, implementation calls and quarterly calls engaging the clients with their tax questions throughout the year.

• Record tax entries within client’s accounting system and spot potential tax errors

• Run from start to finish a tax planning engagement from the initial kickoff meeting to the presenting of the strategies and identification of implementation strategies.

• Maintain training materials for internal tax staff to help train to become tax planning advisors.

• Keep up to date with latest tax legislation changes and IRS pronouncements as they become available.

• Spend time researching strategies that may apply to clients to help keep up to date with the evolving tax industry.

What You Need to Get the Job Done

• 3+ years of working in public accounting on taxes for individuals and small businesses owners

• 1+ years of people management experience

• Must be a licensed tax preparer, EA, or CPA

• Strong problem solving and interpersonal communication skills

• Ability to set priorities, handle multiple tasks, and deliver results in a fast paced and dynamic environment with the desire for continuous improvement

• Advanced Excel skills

• Willingness and ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly.

• Ability to make decisions on complex challenges based on sound judgment and outside-of-the-box thinking.

• Maintain ego-free environment to help focus on solving the problem and developing solutions that will work for the long term.

• Ability to work on multiple projects at once, while meeting or exceeding tight deadlines.
