About the Job
As a Data Analytics Manager you will be responsible for the development and growth of the analytics function at TN Marketing along with others in the analytics area. Your area will be responsible for providing an array of insights from analyzing online customer data, marketing campaigns, website engagement, as well as solve complex data problems, all with the ultimate goal of growing our online business.
This job is unique in that he or she will work at a peer level with the entire digital team, working with social media, paid media, search engine optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Web Development, and Web analytics staff to produce campaign analyses. You will play a crucial role in the management of our digital marketing campaigns in an effort to grow our business through effective use of data and marketing campaigns. You will work with internal stakeholders to identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using defined business objectives and goals, planning website and campaign metrics to support the KPIs, and designing custom dashboards to track and report results.
In this role you will also work with others on the analytics team to drive forward TN Marketing’s capabilities in the creation, management and implementation of data warehousing and data management in terms of data capture, storage, organization, enhancement and advanced analytics. You will help standardize and create efficiencies in data capture, updates, extraction and utilization while developing and leveraging a deep understanding of TN Marketing’s customer data.
Job Responsibilities (include but not limited to)
· Develop and execute campaign analysis, ad-hoc analysis, metrics, design of complex projects as well as articulation of insights and analysis to internal stakeholders.
· Enhance and build on existing web-based and app-based analytics, site testing, and consumer engagement online tracking.
· Oversight and interpretation of results in business context with detailed findings, implications and present to all stakeholders. Design and lead effective presentations and communicate significant business value derived from each business engagement to clients.
· Report building and measurement, testing and segmentation strategy, generating insights and recommendations.
· Assist the marketing team with strategic planning processes, work with them to identify analytical needs and solutions and provide analytical data services to support marketing spend decisions.
· Work with SVP Business Planning & Analytics to determine and implement data warehousing and data management strategies in terms of data capture, storage, organization, updates, enhancement, extraction and analytics.
· Analyze, review and report on effectiveness of our online communities.
· Continually explore, optimize and recommend ways to increase traffic, drive conversions, improve website engagement and lower customer acquisition cost.
· Develop and maintain expertise with all business intelligence software applications as a means to analyze data, derive and produce insight, and present to stakeholders.
· Ability to build financial projection models based on key metric and core KPIs of the business.
· Familiarity with building lifetime value analysis and assessment of ROI/IRR based on various customer acquisition channels and costs.
· Develop and document processes and procedures for working with and providing deliverables to internal data customers. Perform other specially assigned projects and tasks according to instructions and requirements of management. Projects must be completed in accordance with indicated deadlines and expectations.
Desired Skills and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in an analytically oriented discipline (e.g. business, economics, statistics, mathematics, etc.) or technology oriented discipline (e.g. computer science, MIS, etc.).
· 3+ years of experience with a proven and successful track record of meeting aggressive performance goals.
· Genuine passion for online marketing and a strong understanding of online optimization, and ROI analysis is a plus.
· Strong knowledge of database tools including SQL (T-SQL) and MS SQL Server (SSMS) is required; knowledge of statistical modeling software (SPSS, SAS) is a plus.
· Knowledge of business intelligence and data visualization software, such as Tableau, Microstrategy, MS PowerBI or similar is a plus.
· Experience in web analytics with tools such as Google Analytics (G4), SiteCatalyst, KISSmetrics, Bright Edge, WebTrends, or CoreMetrics is preferred.
· Deep expertise and ability to build and analyze databases, relational database concepts; and the ability to analyze and present data in multiple platforms.
· Proven knowledge of key marketing statistical principles including data modeling, segmentation, and analysis.
· Experience with conversion funnels and email marketing required.
